In this episode of Midlife Young, we take a fun journey through the way students stayed organized, communicated, and shared their favorite music across generations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We kick things off with another round of our popular <strong>one-line song challenge<\/strong>, where a few famous lyrics spark a conversation about the music that defined different eras. From chart-topping hits of the 1990s to viral songs of today, we discover that great music has a way of connecting generations\u2014even when we don&#8217;t recognize each other&#8217;s playlists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then we compare the classic <strong>Trapper Keeper<\/strong> with today&#8217;s digital note-taking apps like OneNote, Notion, Apple Notes, and Google Keep. Is a colorful binder from the 80s and 90s really that different from a modern digital workspace? Maybe not as much as you&#8217;d think.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Finally, we explore how friendships have changed over time through two stories: one set in the summer of 1985, where staying connected meant writing letters, buying stamps, and waiting weeks for a reply; and another set in 2015, where playlists, videos, emojis, and video chats bring friends together instantly.
